Status: Fixed
Location: Trail alongside the E-3 Busway
Description: There is a great deal of broken glass along the trail. There are also boxes, shopping carts, and other debris on the trail. A number of locations show evidence of homeless encampments. This situation is probably intimidating to many potential users, including cyclists, pedestrians, those in wheelchairs, the young, and the elderly. There's not much point in having the trail if it's in this condition. This could also impact transit users.

Recommendation: clean up the trail, remove the debris and other objects, and patrol it to maintain it in good condition. Coverage by bicycle police would be a particularly good idea.

There is also now much less glass on the trail. ] ****************************[19 Mar 2008 12:48:46 EDT] Report edited/modified by: Rebecca Slivka [1]
